Fantasy Betting has been a popular script on this site, but it doesn't make use of many popular web 2.0 features. Well, this is the case no-longer! Check out Fantasy Betting 2 for great community features, better functionality, and more!
Fantasy Betting 2 has a lot of new community oriented features that aren't available on the Fantasy Betting 1 script. Below is an overview of these features:
Profiles:
- personal profiles with images, status
- status can be connected to twitter
- profiles have a 'public' and 'private' area
- active bets are displayed in profiles
- profiles can be edited (email, password, even username)
- each player has a 'wall' where their news is displayed
- signing in
- placing bets
- changing status
- etc
- players can 'follow' other players, and their news/status will show up on their own news feed
Categories
- Categories can now be used to filter bets for players
- Players can subscribe to category news feeds to be alerted to new bets
Betting
- RSS import- bets can be generated automatically from actual game feeds
- Each bet option can now have an image
General
- capcha sequence upon sign up
- New user's must confirm their emails to register
- More translatable text for multi-language use
- More CSS based for easier admin customization
